  11. This is a collection of BASIC games from the early days of hobby
  12. computing and the famed 'Creative Computing' magazine.
  13.  
  14. The games are text-only (no graphics!) and include many classic
  15. BASIC games of the era. The games will run on most versions of
  16. Microsoft BASIC, including MBASIC, BASICA, GW-BASIC, AmigaBASIC
  17. etc.
  18.  
  19. The programs were found scattered among several CP/M software
  20. archives and appear to have been part of a disk-based collection
  21. of BASIC games published by Creative Computing in about 1982.
  22. Originally supplied in tokenised MBASIC form, each game has been
  23. converted to pure ASCII to allow its use by most Microsoft
  24. Basic interpreters. Organised as a disk collection, a loader
  25. program MENU.BAS and MENU2.BAS are used to access all games on
  26. the disk.

  28. As an original source of the Creative Computing games could not
  29. be found, it is possible that some games may have been modified
  30. or are missing. The only requirement for a game's inclusion in
  31. this collection is that it contained the Creative Computing
  32. sign-on message.
